Appliance Professional is a locally owned and operated appliance repair company that has served Columbia, Lexington, and the rest of the Midlands area of South Carolina since 2006.
We repair refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges/stoves, garbage disposers, washers and dryers, and other household appliances. Our experienced technicians service all of the industry’s leading brands, and we’re factory-authorized by nearly every manufacturer.

Appliance Professional was founded in 2006 and has been serving homeowners throughout the Midlands ever since.
In 2021, John Schooler purchased the company with a vision for what appliance repair could be.
John saw an opportunity to improve an industry where customers often feel uncertain about whom to trust, how much repairs should cost, or whether the work will be done correctly. He wanted to build a company that would replace that uncertainty with confidence.
That meant more than hiring skilled technicians. It meant creating a workplace where employees are valued, establishing processes that make scheduling and communication easier, and building a company that consistently delivers a professional customer experience.
We’re still working toward that vision every day. We want Appliance Professional to be the company people turn to when they need an appliance repaired because they know they can count on us.
My wife Cheryl and I both grew up in the Midlands area and are blessed to call Columbia home for our family.
When I purchased Appliance Professional in 2021, I wanted to do more than own a successful business. I wanted to build something that would make a positive impact on the community we’ve called home for all my life.
I believe great businesses are good places to work, treat their customers well, and contribute to the community around it. That’s what we’re trying to accomplish at Appliance Professional.
